Romantic Poetries

There once was a man who looked like a bird
Whose lovers were never demurred;
When he made it an art
To speak of his heart
Though the affair was rather absurd.

  1. Cool limerick. I wish you had worked in the word "turd". Seems like it would have fit well... although it may have been less romantic.

  2. The picture is fine. I like it. But the limerick--not so fine. Myself, I'm a connoisseur of limericks. I read them. I write them. I live them. Allow me to suggest the following rewrite:
    There once was a lover with the head of a bird
    Whose love for his maiden was always deferred.
    He made it his art
    To sing of his heart.
    But the lady was hard and always demurred. Absurd.

    I give it to you as a gift. If you like it, it's yours. If not, delete this message.
